Out Sick...

I haven't really been hospitalized for exhaustion, though. I'm just laid up with a chest full of lung-butter oyster stew and a high fever that I just. can't. shake. My temp.'s been under 100 for about 3 hours out of the last 72, and that's on medication. Every time I get toward the end of my dose it climbs back up to 102 or 103. So I am exhausted, and my life right now is pretty much all about hanging out in bed all day, drinking, and taking drugs, but not like that. So, I guess my point is, if you can read this, go wash your hands. Or run a Norton sweep.

Drugs, drinking and bed? Sounds a-ok to me.

So, did you end up dying from this thing?

I'm in the hospital. I'm pretty much over the Pneumonia, but I have an infarcted kidney, and blood clots in my arms and legs. My arms are like raw sausages from IV inclusions, but are getting better now that they put a main line in. Too hard to type much right now - I'm using my phone. Thanks everyone for the good thoughts.

Oh, sweetheart! I'm so sorry! Please get better right now. I'm sending you a bushel of hugs and supersonic rays of all-powerful healing power. Radiating from my fingertips. Because I have that power. In my mind.

Take it easy and get better! This kind of stuff has been going around this year, but it took a nasty turn in your case.

So take it easy, cough up the phlegm, clean out the clots and get well!

Slinking off to have renal failure is just not acceptable.
If we never get to actually have cocktails and trade witty barbs in a literary setting, i just don't know what i'll to with myself.
You may actually force me to show nipple.

Hugs, flo! Well, pretend hugs -- the kind where you make your arms like a basketball hoop and stick your butt way out because you don't actually want to touch the other person. Not because you have cooties! No! But because of those sausage arms! Wouldn't want to hurt them!

Be well.

Hey, thanks for all the support! I seem to be getting better slowly but surely. The clots are still pretty painful, but all of the scarey tests are coming up negative, so I should be out of here early next week. Then it's six months or so of blood thinners, and Bob's your uncle. The kidney function seems to be fine, right now I'm mostly just recovering. Thanks for all the love - it helps. Can somebody please cross-post this on the Mecha thread? I can't seem to log in from my phone. Thanks so much!

Hey.....

This isn't a publicity stunt to get extra hits on your blog, is it? ;-)

Just kidding. Get better. The world isn't the same with that normal cat & dog rain.

Do you want any visitors? I'm in the Seattle area so I can drop by if I know what hospital you are at.

You'd better get healthy soon! (I bet you wish you had a TVBgone in the hospital though! I would've sent you one had I known!)

I should've been praying for you more. My bad!
